2026 Garden Reflection
Keep for 2027
- Marigolds – basic direct seed (around the boarder) & Big duck
- Giant sunflowers – direct seed at the back of plot 1 & 2
- Direct seed cosmos and zinnia (save seeds)
- Beans – direct seed (2 rows behind the big duck next year)
Fall Prep Work
- Saved marigold (regular and big duck), cosmo, zinnia, and neon pumpkin seeds
- Divided grasses from the middle plot and moved to the front of all three plots
- Divided the three hostas from the box and moved tot he back of the first plot
- Divided the Japanese astilbe ad added to the back of the middle plot near the peony
Winter 2027
- Test seed germination – are they going to work?
- Buy seeds: Giant sunflower seeds, sweet peas
- Make labels and envelopes for seeds?
- Transplant: big duck, some pumpkin seeds
Buy Spring 2027
- Marigold flats x 2 from Walmart
- Petunia Flat x 2 from Walmart
- Dalia transplants
- Kale transplants
- Herbs
- Grape or vine flower for the trellis

Front 1/2
- Basic marigolds (direct seed)

- Beans (direct seed)

Second 1/2
- 2 rows of corn (direct seed)
- Back 3/4: Mix planting: gigantic sunflowers (direct seed), amaranth (direct seed), zucchini (transplant? Or direct seed) – buy a flat of marigolds and scatter around the perimeter
- Back 1/4: perennials (hosta)

- Neon pumpkins (5-7 plants) (direct seed)
- 1 try of marigolds dispersed throughout.
